Another week in the books. Let’s chat about manga in the general discussion thread! Feel free to use this thread for questions, comments, recommendations, etc.
Like normal, please be careful with spoilers. I wrote a guide about spoilers in case you need a refresher on how to handle them (also linked in the sidebar).
Lots of plowing through backlog this week after traveling the week prior. So, here are some highlights of the past week:
I got caught up with this series (at least what is on Mangadex). I have had a lot of fun and it is coming in for what seems like a really nice ending soon. I recommend this one as a nice, quick, low-stakes read (remember that each chapter is just one page long).
This was a relatively quick oneshot. I enjoyed it, but it very much felt like a chapter meant to set up a bigger story. Not sure what the future holds for a potential serialization, but it was nice to get a peek.
This one was interesting. The main character is basically as emotionless as I have ever seen. She was raised in a colloseum as a fighter and really only knows how to kill things. When coincidences align and she finds herself freed from slavery, she really has no idea how the world works. Like, she doesn’t know about money, or what parents are, or what a friend is. It’s still really early, but I have found it interesting to have an MC that is so utterly clueless about basic humanity.
Only two chapters in this one so far. And no, that is not the full title…but the actual title is just so, so long that I had to shorten it. Basically, a dude gets reincarnated into a game that he was super obsessed with and knows all the ins and outs. The game was notorious for being incredibly complex, with over 1200 different jobs you could have. So, he has set out to fulfill all the conditions to earn the Hero job using his knowledge of the game. It reminds me a lot of the speedrunning isekai, but a bit less silly.
