The a manga I’m reading seems to have seems to have started using AI for some illustrations… They used it in the latest chapter for a crowd here and it looked awful. While it was probably touched up, making me second guess, the shading/inking (like it was actually meant to be colours) and style were so typically AI-gen on top of the perspective and relative sizing being way off. It’s way different from the mangaka’s style and how crowds looked before.

Hopefully this is just a one off thing…

I like MangaPlus, but I reckon buying ebooks is a better way to support mangaka than a subscription is. I use Kobo a lot for this.

For some of these I have to wonder if they really just wanted a fantasy manga, but had to make it isekai as a hook by the publisher or something.

I get what the mangaka is going for, but as a musician myself, I’m not sure I’d want those 2 in my band if they’re not listening to the rest of the band and just play in their own little world😅.

I mean, they did say in an earlier chapter (I just checked: chapter 22) that he wasn’t just a teacher and there to “monitor in a special advisory capacity” as a post. So, that he isn’t a normal teacher is pretty much already known. That’s how Ruri got to know that she might be able change the weather a bit. What or who exactly is not known though.

Is it just the covers because they are images? If that’s it, I could make a rule that image posts need the [Art] tag. I don’t have auto-expand media turned on, so it’s not something that I have had issues with.

It’s more that there’s a whole lot of consecutive posts I’m not interested in, which pushes down the actual manga posts. I suppose turning off auto expand would make that a little less annoying.

Would it be a good idea to give posts that only share a new or upcoming volume cover a specific tag? I don’t really care for the occassional cover spam, since it clogs up my feed. Having a specific tag would help clean it up for those that don’t care to see it.
