I don’t think working in the office is more wasteful. YOU think that, but I don’t. And since the majority of fed workers don’t work from home (your point), this won’t make much difference.
The great thing about America is if we don’t like working somewhere, we can always go somewhere else.
If working from home is sooooo efficient like you say, then there will be plenty of companies that offer that option, so these fed workers can quit and join those super-efficient work-from-home companies.
Be sure to contact them on their LinkedIn sites and offer them information about your company. Maybe they can become your super efficient co-workers.
I don’t just think that. There is a lot of data backing that up, and yes, for every company forcing back to office, there is another capitalizing on their loss of talent.
This is the government, this is about efficiency, and what can be demonstrated with evidence, not how you feel about something.
You keep coming at this from the angle I am mad people lose their jobs. I am not, they will very likely find work without a huge issue. The problem is the government, that I pay taxes to, is using uselessly less efficient methods of operation, out of a combination of spite, and the desire to meet the project 2025 quota of turning people over to those who will kiss the ring.
You are like a con-man who thinks everyone else is also a fraud because you can’t imagine people thinking drastically different than you, about the same things. That and the crabs in a pot mentality of “you can’t have it better than I did! if things get better, that’s not fair to me! now get back down here and suffer with me.”

That’s YOUR opinion. And it’s fine for you to have that opinion. It’s not my opinion. And it’s not the opinion of most of the voters who voted for him. Which is why he won and democrats lost.

Not true. I have said many times, to you and others, that you are free to your opinions. I just don’t share them. Lemmy celebrates diversity of opinion and so do I.
You are reading WAY too much into this. I didn’t vote for Trump. He’s president. This is happening. No matter how unhappy you are about it.
You don’t agree with his decision. I do. And when the next democrat comes back into office, that person can reverse this policy and let people work from home.
I actually don’t care all that much one way or the other. I’m happy they have to go into the office. But I won’t be upset if they get to work from home.
It’s really not that big of a deal to me.
You seem determined to get me in some kind of “gotcha!” moment or are trying to prove something. I have been transparent in my beliefs both before and after the election. My post history under this instance and other instances it public.
I didn’t vote for Trump. I didn’t vote for Biden.
I voted Socialist Workers Party. And I will continue to do that. That doesn’t mean I disagree or agree with every decision either administration has and will make.
I think it’s hilarious that people are getting so worked up about having to go into the office.
If someone doesn’t like the rules of the job, get another one. You didn’t want Trump to win. The majority of voters did. They disagree with you.
And in four years the tables will probably turn. None of this is the end of the world. I promise.
You are VERY HAPPY they are moving back to a more wasteful model?

Dankon, amiko!

So if there’s so much data backing that up, then more places would be allowing work from home.
So should be plenty of jobs out there for people who are unhappy about their federal job no longer letting them from home.
So no problem! They can just get a new job at all those workplaces that are following all that exciting data!
Lucky, right?
And now people who want to work from home, know that getting a federal job may no longer align with their goals
So happy people all around.
Dankon, amiko!!
